The current Infrastructure Storage requirement was obtained via a competitive tender by SLC reference 2020-SLC-357. The hardware supplied was manufactured by IBM under the manufacturers branding of IBM Power.\r\n\r\nAs the SLC estate currently has IBM equipment throughout, to move away from this manufacturer would take a vast investment in both time and money. Therefore, for technical and financial reasons, the equipment specification needs to continue with IBM.",
